We did an "sealed" Epic tourney on Friday, and Czulkang Lah did indeed rule all. HE was Brutal, that player went 4-0. I drew the Terentatek and went 2-2, the only real bad match up I had was against Mara and I forgot about force immune otherwise that game might have gone differently. Overwhelming force goes along way, in addition to JH. Was fun to play even with savage.
My only design question was who decided on the green lantern card design
Yep, I was the person who had Czulkang Lah; I got 2nd place in the tournament because of SoS. My match against the Tarentatek lasted all of 7.5 minutes (3 rounds).
Czulkang and Warmaster Tsavong Lah make an epic Epic Duo. Read their CEs: Czulkang gives Charging Assault 10 to allies who start their move within 6 of him...and then Warmaster gives Momentum to allies who finish their move within 6 of him. So you start by charging the Warmaster in 12 squares for 40dmg on a piece, and then follow that up by Czulkang charging in for 90 more damage (50 on the first hit, then 40 on the twin) with Momentum. That's 130dmg on a piece, from 12 squares away. Then the fun starts, with Czulkang's 30 dmg twin Counterattacks, and Warmaster having Cleave.
My most difficult match was vs Mace and Boba Mercenary. Mace had a Crit/Flurry to drop Warmaster (and then died to Czulkang), and then Czulkang had the long task of chasing down Boba Merc, who is absolutely annoying in any Duo format. Czulkang won with 90 hp left.
