It's a big file (57 MB), but it has everything you need to play SWRPG on Vassal. And for clarification: this is NOT the SWMinis vassal mod, but it's a different vassal game entirely. Read the "About Star Wars RPG" file under the Help menu, and that should explain everything you need to know in order to play.

I'd love to play again, because I had so much fun in the last campaign. My character was fun too; if I played in this campaign I expect that I'd probably continue playing him. He's a skill-monkey (strong computers, mechanics, piloting), which would help the group a lot too.

But I'm super-busy right now and for the next few months. I'm moving to a new church (as a pastor) in August, and starting full-on in September. I don't expect that I'll have much time until October at least, and possibly not until January. There is a large amount of front-end work whenever a pastor starts in a new church. If that's not a problem for the group (that is, if they're fine with me missing around 50% of the sessions for the first few months), then I'd look into playing.

Jonny had me enter a character and I can not even say I will be there 50% with everything I have going on right now... Just as long as there are not more than 9 living characters the ship I picked out will work, otherwise it will need upgrades...

Okay, well let's hypothetically surmise that I might be able to play.

What kind of character does the group most need right now? From reading through this thread, it looks like we're short on melee/jedi beatstick characters. I'm happy to play a jedi or an axe-wielding wookiee, instead of my gunslinger. What are your preferences, folks?

We are playing dark times, so a jedi would make our lives difficult (but interesting) As for a wookiee, so long as you, at least once, rip somebody's arms out I will be happy. :vader2:

TinT, so far we have;

Demolitions expert
Two near cookie cutter Sneak attackers/stealth characters (I only use the term to say they are both very similar)
An aim and fire condition track droid
An engineer/starship pilot
And an everybody is healed Jedi

We are still waiting on one other character to be posted. But yeah, we lack melee.

I've always wanted to play a wookiee, a "Hulk smash!" kind of character, who also has an appreciation for fine art. I'll see what I can work up.

You may want to consider a unarmed combatant, wookiees can ko a character in one hit.

So the group needs hit points/melee from what I can see?

Lisa's character (Jamie) has 80hp....though she is a shooter...

I would not worry about getting here an account. We use Gamers as an information point and Vassel to play.

Okay, it's clear: a high-HP melee "Hulk smash!" beatstick it is. With only a 30pt buy, it's likely he'll have a low Ref, but he'll be doing lots of damage when he's conscious.

no since there are several shooters I have made a melee character.

Jonny call me I have my character done have not posted him yet wanted you to go over him with me to see if i got this thing right it has been a while.

There is a good feat in the Rebelion Era book under species feats, if you are going to be doing melee damage. In GaW, there is a fightning style for wookies that is pretty good also. See page 28 for the feat.

There is a good feat in the Rebelion Era book under species feats, if you are going to be doing melee damage. In GaW, there is a fightning style for wookies that is pretty good also. I'll try to find the pg number when I get home and update this post.


There are also martial arts mastery feats which are really good for wookiees. Hammer blow is a great talent. Elite troopers have some good talents for unarmed too.
