The answer is rather simple. Counter push cannot move a Strafer into a square that they can't reach the designated landing spot. Just like with Rolling Cleave.

So he could counterpush to do the damage just not move the Lancer (or whatever was strafing him) if it caused it to be unable to reach the landing space?

Thanks Scott.

Well Mike , could we take it to the club meeting and vote on it? I think thats how its done.
Send the reps to their meeting and then the other clubs will vote on it?

The post you are commenting on is 9 years old. I could be wrong but I'm thinking that ruling has been in effect for nearly a decade.
Nowadays it's more like a handful of players (2-5) in a given area than full-on "clubs".
Mike is no longer the head rules guru . . . that's Swinefeld (Dave) and the Rules Committee's job now.

I don't think I have ever heard of this coming up as an issue. Perhaps most players just ignoring the ruling? I will ask around.
