Does Mighella count as having a lightsaber?

It appears the reccomended mini image (of the Nightsister Sith Witch) had the lightsaber removed or photoshopped. She has no abilities or Force Powers that specify lightsaber which leads me to believe she doesn't count as having one.

And on a side note, Lumiya does not count as having a lightsaber, correct? But the lightwhip that Silri has does count as a lightsaber?

1. No. With the image removed, she does not count as having a lightsaber. I believe this is covered in the floor rules.
2. Lumiya does not have a lightsaber.
3. Silri does count as having a lightsaber.

Just out of curiosity, is there an updated Floor Rules for 2012 or are we still working off the 2011 updates found as a sticky in the General Forum?

One more quick question about the Floor Rules. Are you referencing the "conversions" section?

I guess one thing that has thrown me off a bit is the inconsistencies between the images of the reccomended mini and with the melee (or lack of melee) designation.

For instance, I believe Figran Dan and the Baran Do Sage both have images on their cards that show a gun in their hand but are both melee figures.

That's exactly my plan for my Figran D'an custom! If you know my username reference you probably wouldn't be surprised to hear that Figran is near and dear to me!

I was just pointing out the disparity between the examples, photoshopping/removing lightsabers but not guns.

And please don't anyone take my comments as complaints. That's not my intention, just some friendly discussion!

Unlike lightsabers, guns on a figure has had no gameplay effect. It was with the original draft of the DCI Floor Rules, which were essentially modified from the DDM's Floor Rules. I believe it was there mainly to prevent confusion.

Ok, I get that from a rules standpoint but from a gameplay standpoint normally when you see a sculpt with a gun you naturally assume non-melee, yes?

The Wookiee Thug had the gun removed from the Scoundrels sculpt on that card, why not the others?

This probably isn't the place to debate the issue but I guess I'm not sure where else to put it. Again, my comments aren't meant to be critical, I'm just trying to voice my opinion on what could be done to improve things as this game moves forward.

And I really should stop but does this topic provide us with any indication of whether Karness Muur is melee or non-melee?
