Commanders

Admiral Piett - Trooper followers within 6 squares gain Opportunist.

Advance Agent, Officer - Yuuzhan Vong allies within 6 squares gain Cunning Attack.

Darth Vader, Imperial Commander - Trooper followers gain +6 Defense.

Ephant Mon - Enemies with Accurate Shot in cover can be targeted by Fringe followers within 6 squares of this character, even if those enemies are not the nearest.

Han Solo in Stormtrooper Armor - Followers gain Charging Fire.

Imperial Governor Tarkin - Allied commanders within 6 squares gain Extra Attack.

Imperial Officer - At the end of this character's turn, 1 non-Unique follower within 6 squares can make an immediate attack.

Ithorian Commander - Followers in your squad with Damage 10 and Melee Attack get +4 Attack and +10 Damage.

Jabba, Crime Lord - All non-Unique Fringe Followers within 6 squares gain Cunning Attack.

Princess Leia - At the end of this character's turn, 1 Rebel follower within 6 squares can make 1 immediate attack at +4 Attack and +10 Damage.

Rebel Commando Strike Leader - Commandos in your squad with Stealth (including this character) and who have cover cannot be targeted by nonadjacent enemies.
Commando followers with Grenades 10 instead gain Grenades 20.

Rebel Leader - Followers within 6 squares who combine fire grant +6 Attack instead of +4.
Rebel allies gain Spotter +20.

Stormtrooper Officer - Trooper followers within 6 squares get +3 Attack if they do not move this turn.

Yomin Carr - Yuuzhan Vong allies within 6 squares gain Poison +10 and Spit Poison 20.

Analysis
  • Followers must be Fringe
  • Followers must be within 6 squares
  • The followers may target any enemy character with Accurate Shot, regardless of being a legal target, line of sight is only requirement
  • This ability applies to regular attacks and any special abilities which target, such as Flamethrower, Missiles, or Grenades

Allied commanders within 6 squares gain Extra Attack (on it's turn, this character can take 1 cumulative extra attack instead of moving).

Analysis
  • Must be a commander to receive Tarkin's effect
  • Must be within 6 squares
  • Characters gain one cumulative Extra Attack if they do not move on their turn

User Comments
{Fool} One of the few CE's that Grant Extra Attacks, and so far as of FU the only one that affects Commanders, this CE works great with the likes of Commanders with Twin Attack (like Lord Vader, or Komari Vosa if you've activated Mind Control)

  • Occurs at end of Officer's turn

  • The character only receives an attack, not a turn

Ithorian Commander

Commander Effect
Followers in your squad with Damage 10 and Melee Attack get +4 Attack and +10 Damage.

Analysis
  • Board-wide CE
  • Applies to Followers
  • Followers must have Damage 10 and Melee Attack printed on their cards
  • Other abilities that affect Damage (Such as the Human Force Adept's Force Weapon) still allow this CE to affect them as long as they start with Damage 10 and Melee Attack.

(Dnemiller): At first glance this commander seems as though it was not that great. Once you take a second look and see that this is one of the few board wide CE's that the Rebels have and include some fringe pieces you have the basis of a very deadly combo.

I personally love to use the Ithorian Commander with Aqualish Assassins. It also has brought about my use of one of the oldest pieces in Star Wars miniatures, the Ithorian Scout. Using the two pieces as well as a few uggies with the Ithorian Commander gives you a great melee attack. This also allows you to use enough of the pieces that it is very hard to stop this from being effective. Here is what this combo gives you in terms of possible attack values and damage if used right.

The Ithorian Scout used with a combo of cunning and the Ithorian Commander:
  • attacks at +12 for 30 dmg
  • add in the fact he has stealth and he works well
Aqualish Assassin using Opportunist and Ithorian Commander:
  • attacks at +15 for 30 dmg
  • again he has Stealth
Even uggies are dangerous as no one wants or like taking 20 dmg from an uggie.
All in all not bad Commander effect for 11 points

Analysis
  • Applies to Rebel Followers only
  • Followers must be in 6 squares
  • Because it's affecting statistics, it doesn't stack with other CE's that affect Attack or Damage bonuses specifically(such as Rebel Officer's CE)
  • If the target Follower has Twin Attack, it applies only to the first attack

(Fool): The best Leia CE IMO. Works best with Han, Scoundrel, and also works with Luke, HoY and the Rebel Snowspeeder to (Twin Attack) but also can be used on any Rebels. Keep in mind works great with Obi, Jedi Spirit as the Mettle affects the re-roll not the original attack.

  • Part two grants Grenades 20 (If they had Grenades 10)
  • Part one grants "Super-Stealth" to Commandos who had Stealth (requiring them to be targeted by only adjacent enemies).

Rebel Leader

Commander Effect
Followers within 6 squares who combine fire grant +6 Attack instead of +4.

Rebel allies gain Spotter +20 (If this character combines fire against a target within 6 squares, the attacker gets +20 Damage against that target).

Analysis
  • 2-Part CE
  • First Part grants +6 attack instead of +4 when Combining Fire and is limited to 6 squares from the Rebel Leader
  • First Part is within 6 and affects Followers only
  • Second Part grants the Spotter +20 Special Ability
  • 2nd Part is board-wide and affects Rebel Allies

[Fool] One of the best CE's for the Rebels this one can be deadly with Mon Cal Tech Specialists as they are only 4 points - good Combining Fire Fodder. The Spotter +20 is much better than the +6 attack.
