I've got it written into my calendar; hopefully things will turn out well so that I can make it.

Well I vapor-locked, as I forgot I'll be doing the two MS150 down in Texas on the 20th & 21st. So we're pushing the regional back a week.

Our target date that my store owner is working on is also the 27th...he is trying to finalize renting the hall this week and has been sick, so I haven't pushed him. He has secured the 501st to appear in our event, so even though the venue isn't certain yet (the store vs the hall) the date is. We're going to have a problem here.

No conflict here Jim, the most logical solution after speaking with the local crew here we're going to move the WNY Regional out to 6/1.

I'm already booked on both April 27 and June 1. Maybe I'm just doomed to never be able to attend another Regional again in my life, even though I now live within driving distance of more Regionals than ever before. :(

Oh well, I guess I can always play against a total of 4 other people in the Vassal Regional....

That is unfortunate news Trev, you will certainly be missed in the spring.

For the tiles, are we supposed to choose one to bring, ala tile wars?

Ala peanut butter sammiches... You are correct Senor Hinkbert, bring a tile to be co-joined to your opponent.

Well time for an update...

Spoke with Jeff at Pair-A-Dice and we are all set for the first of June. We'll have food ordered/brought in after the second round of Swiss and I encourage all players to have their squad sheets prepared (if at all possible) prior to arriving at the store. I will have plenty of sheets on hand Friday night and again on Saturday, however I really want to get the first round started promptly at 11:45AM. We'll be departing from Chez Russell @ 9:30AM in order to facilitate an on time start.

Early returns are shaping up nicely and we should see/expect to a field in 12-16 range, maybe even upwards of 18. To those of you who have committed a big thanks!

Next, the last bit of prize support arrived yesterday, all I can say is that the Cad Bane print is very nice indeed and will make a fine addition to someones SW collection.

I'm really looking forward to the weekend and having a ton of laughs!

Update from the front:

T4 (not sure of order):

Jason K (urbanjedi)
Luke Cook
Ben Guins
Jim McNaney (DarthJim)

I know Jason played Skybuck, but I don't have any more squad information on the top 4. If I get more details, I will post here.

Ok, a mini-update.

Jason lost to Ben in the first round of the playoffs. Ben is playing Malgus/Caedus. Luke and Jim are both playing variations on Stealth and Blue using Morrigan Corde (Jim is using Desann).

Congratulations to Ben Guins on winning the West New York regional!

I don't have any information on attendance, and limited on squads (in addition to the top 4, I know there was a Tarpals/Zam/Jango squad, at least one MOTOLuke, and at least one Mace/GOWK).

Hopefully someone else will come along and fill in the gaps.

Full squad disclosure tomorrow when I get a chance at lunchtime. It is noteworthy that the Vong and Rebels were absent once again at a Regional.
